The Audition

Prima Productions focuses on artistry and the love of dance, as well as recognising the importance of a sound classical technique. This starts at the audition process where we will be looking for dancers who show a strong passion and enjoyment of Classical ballet, and who would thrive on the opportunity of being part of a real ballet performance. 

Auditions will take place in Yeovil, Somerset on Sunday 11th October 2015.  The audition venue will be confirmed on application.

Junior audition  6-11 years

Senior audition  12-18 years

Junior auditions will take place from 13:30 to 15:00.

Senior auditions will take place from 15:15 to 16:45.

Children are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their audition time.

Prima Productions auditions follow the form of a ballet class. Children are not required to prepare any dances themselves.  Dancers are expected to wear what they wear for their regular ballet classes.  Children who are studying Pointe work should bring their shoes with them to the audition.

The audition registration is £10.00. It is advisable to send in the registration form and register in advance to save administration time, although we do accept registration forms on the day.  Please make cheques payable to Prima Productions.

Children will find out upon completion of the audition whether they have been successful.

Two Prima Productions part scholarships will be awarded at the audition.
